Winter Party Preview #1...

Welcome to day 1 of the Winter Party Preview at Claudia & Co. Stamps!!!! Today the wonderful design team is showing you 2 out of 6 brand new C&Co Stamps that will be released on November 5th!!!
Please meet Winter Ella (By Lori Boyd):
I looove her and her little chilly penguin friend!
I used some scrap Christmas paper I had left over from last year and coloured the image in using my copics. I added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to the penguin for some shine and wanted to add some falling snow, so I used some 'White Perfect Puff'! Its the same stuff as white liquid applique. Just add a few dots where you want, let dry overnight then heat with your heat tool and it puffs right up!

Meet Party Piper (by Lori Boyd):

I coloured up Party Piper with my copics thinking I had some perfect red and white Christmas dp in my stash, but when I went to look for it, I couldn't find it. So after looking through what felt like a thousand sheets of paper I had to settle on this new awesome paper by Imaginisce. It doesn't really match and didn't turn out as 'classic' as I wanted but it's cute enough anyway.
Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team HERE, to see their AMAZING creations! I'm completely in awe of their wonderful talent and creativity! We'll be back again on November 3rd for our 2nd Winter Party Preview. Don't miss it!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Halloween Princess!

Today I'm posting one of my favorite Halloween cards featuring Princess Chloe from Claudia & Co. Stamps. She is one of the latest Puddle Jumpers created by Lori Boyd and I looove her!!! I totally had the exact same little pumpkin treat holder when I was little. I would cram all the candy possible into that little round bucket...lol!!!

I added some of my own treats to Chloe's pumpkin bucket, and covered it with lots of glitter!!! I've been holding off on buying our candy this year so I don't dig in and have to buy more the night before...anyone else have that problem?...lol...

Make sure to come back and party with us for our 1st preview of the Winter Party Release on Friday!

Have a great night, thanks for stopping by and I hope all of your little 'trick or treaters' have a fun and safe halloween!

Get Sketchy with us....

Today's challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is a fabulous SKETCH!!!! Our super talented Krafty Girl Michele has created another one of her amazing layouts:

For my card today I used Noelle! Isn't she the sweetest with the sparkly candy cane dress and all?

I followed the sketch as closely as I could and coloured her up with my copics. Actually I coloured her up last Saturday during one of the demo's we did at Scrapfest. I'm surprised she made it home in one peice! It took me a while but I found some dp in my stash by My Minds Eye that matched the colours I used. I added lots of Stardust Stickles to her dress, I had to take a picture up close of the stickles cause I looooove them so much!!!! I also added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to the candycanes to make them look shiny. Those pink jewel brads are from the Paper Studio (Spare Parts line).

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Krafty Girls have to show you, and if you play along you'll get the chance to win Christmas Clara, the brand new stamp that Michele used on her card!

I wish you all a fantastic weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Howdy Partner!!

Today I'm posting a card featuring the adorable Cowboy McCoy from Claudia & Co Stamps. This is one of the latest Puddle Jumpers created by the sweet and talented
I decided to colour him up to resemble 'Woody' from Toy Story. My son looooooved these movies and has all the characters. He's outgrown them now but won't give up the toys nor will I let him...lol!!! They'll go in a tote and have fun in the attic til someone else can use them!
I knew I had some left over Disney paper from scrapbooking so I dug around and found some that went perfectly! The little treat bag that he's holding in my card is actually a freebie download for all customers who purchase Cowboy McCoy and Princess Chloe. You get 3 free little digi treat bags to mix and match with each stamp!

Don't forget we still have a great challenge going on and there's lots of time to play! Click HERE for all the details!

I'll be posting another card with the adorable Princess Chloe in a while and make sure you come back on the 29th. Thats when we start previews for our huge Winter Party release! Is it ever gonna be a party!!!!!!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

A spoooooooky challenge!!!

Happy Saturday Everyone!!! Today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, our sweet and talented Krafty Girl Andrea wants to see your SPOOOOKY CARDS!
Thats right make it as spooky as you can and link up your project for us to see!

For my card I used 'Batty Princess'.

I just love this image illustrated by Annie Rodrigue...it's one of her original designs and I thought was perfect for the Spoooooky Card theme!

I ended up only using the top half of the image (my markers were behaving badly, tsk tsk..haha) so I took out my creative memories circle cutters and cut a hole in my card so I could 'pop' her out of it. I completely cut her out being very careful not to snip any hair or fingers...(lots of patience on this one). When I popped her out I thought it looked like its her little home and she's holding up a 'warning' sign that things might get spooky if you come in...lol!!!

I added some Basic Grey dp on the inside to add a little bit more dimension, rather than leaving it all black. For the front panel, I broke out my Cuttlebug spider web embossing folder and my Inkssentials ink tool, some charcoal chalk ink, and went to town!!! I printed off the word 'spooky' from my computer and randomly cut out the letters and also sponged them with the charcoal chalk ink. I adhered them to a little piece of twine that I carefully placed in her dainty little batty fingers!

Although she was fun to colour up, minus the marker mishap...I really need to work on my shading...sometimes I really have a hard time figuring out the shadows and shading on really detailed images. I often turn to my good friend Melanie's blog where I get amazing inspiration! She recently posted some fantastic tips and info on shadows, shading, light sources etc...The post is HERE, you must check it out, she knows what she's talking about!!!

Be sure to check out the other spoooky cards from the wonderful Krafty Girls! You'll be spooked for sure!!!

Well, this was a lengthy post, feeling a little chatty today...lol...getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. To all of my fellow Canadian crafters 'Happy Thanksgiving'!

Challenge #5 at C&Co!

Our theme for this month's challenge at Claudia & Company Stamps is:
The Color ORANGE, BUTTONS AND RIBBON!
I used Mr. Smiles for my card!

I coloured up Mr. Smiles using my copic markers and used lots bright fun colours to match the dp by Bo Bunny. I raided my ribbon jar and found a few that matched and the buttons I had in my stash. With Halloween a few weeks away, I think this is the perfect challenge!

Claudia and Co. Challenges are set monthly. We will post a new challenge each month on the 2nd Friday of every month.

We only have 1 rule....Use ONLY Claudia and Company Stamps!

We can't wait to see what you create!! Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Monday Challenge at TPE!

Childhood
(ex: Playful Fun, Dress Up, anything with a child)
Our Showcase Company for the next 2 weeks is
Claudia and Company
Claudia and Company just had their October Release.
Lori Boyd, artist of the Puddle Jumpers has designed two new sweeties for the release.
We are super excited for you to meet them.
These new cuties fit perfectly with our theme these next 2 weeks.
For my card I've used Cowboy McCoy!
I was a little pressed for time on this card so I had to put my thinking 'cowboy' hat on...lol...bad pun I know...Anyway I love my kraft paper and thought I'd try something I've never done before but have seen on many other cards and LOVE the look!

I stamped Cowboy McCoy directly onto the kraft cardstock and used a few prismacolor pencils and gamsol to add a bit of colour. Then I added some fun buttons and rub on and it was done in a flash!

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has to show you! You love them all!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
