Back to School!

Well sadly summer is winding down and it almost time for the kids to go back to school!
But this new little Puddle Jumper 'School Time Lucy' from Claudia & Co. just makes me smile so much that it gets me in the mood for back to school! One of my favourite things is doing the back to school shopping!

I coloured Lucy up with my copics and decided I wanted to make a girlie back to school card so I pulled out some of my Girl's Paperie dp and some pink glitter candy dots I got from DCRU. I adhered the candy dots to the flourishes I cut from my never before used nesties die (love them). I framed her in a scalloped nestie and popped it on the card!

This cutie along with her friend Landon are on sale right now at DCRU, swing by and check out the adorable stamps available!

Speaking of stamps....Claudia & Company is having a brand new release for September! They are ADORABLE. So if you wanna see them, check back on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. for the big Release Hop! There will be lots of fun prizes and gorgeous cards to view! Not to mention a new line up of designers!!!

I'll be back tomorrow with a teeny weeny sneek peek! Thanks for stopping by!

Pearly Whites!!!!

Happy Saturday everyone! Today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps our wonderful Jeanne has come up with a great challenge for you!
Show us your PEARLY WHITES!!! (no not your teeth, haha)
Simply use white and pearls on your card!!!
I used the sweet Swan Princess for my card today! She was part of the July Fairy Tale release and I hadn't inked her up yet! I coloured her with my copics and paper pieced her dress with some scrap dp. I cut her out and popped her onto a white background with a big pearl flourish embellishment from Prima. Oh, and I used lots and lots of Stardust Stickles on her crown and wings!

Remember if you play along this week you'll be entered into the draw to win the stamp Jeanne used on her card! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Krafty Girls have to show you today!

Have a great weekend!

Sugar Stick Teacher Set!

Its so good to be back! My family and I had a great vacation, but am I ever pooped!!! I think need a few days to recoup! I did miss my craft room, so I got busy today and pulled together a card with the newly released Digi from Claudia & Co!

It took me a while to get back into the swing of things, still trying to kickstart my mojo after such a long break!

I coloured up this cute little teacher SS with my copic markers and thought I'd do something different with the chalk board. I have had some cork sheets sitting around for a while now and I thought I'd make the chalk board into a bulletin board. I added some tiny brads as thumbtacks. This is a great little digi set and its only $5.00!

Swing by the Claudia & Co Blog to see some great ideas and fun cards you can create with this adorable new digi!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Very Spooktacular Blog Hop...

Today Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is releasing their new spoooooooooky August images! As you’ve seen over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, Annie Rodrigue has created some super cute and creepy designs! There are eight images in the complete set and one of them is a very special one that we have created from Annie’s original painting, Batty Princess!

And Steven Leary is back with Miles the Mouse and his ghoulfriend, Maisie along with some new fun characters! They are having a lot of trick or treatin’ fun and you’ll get to check them all out in today’s August release day KRAFTY HOP!!

If you arrived here via my great friends and rediculously talented Krafty gals Melanie & Ainsleigh, you're in the right spot! If you just happened to pop by and want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog! As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of stamps from the new release!! And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available! OH and did we mention? Each and every order placed this week, will be entered into a draw?? One lucky customer will win a 5x7 print of Annie’s Batty Princess!!

Also we’re doing something new this month!! For those of you who just HAVE to have all the new images, we’ve got the perfect thing for you! It’s called the ‘Gimme Kimmies Kit’!!! Instead of clicking on each image that you’d like, you only have to click once to pick up a Gimme Kimmies Kit AND it’s at a discounted price!! What could be better???
Here's my (pocket) card:

Meet Mitzi the Mummy! Let me tell you, she has to be one of my very favourite images to colour so far! I had sooo much fun. I know I always say that but its true! I used my copics and then added some shading with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I loved trying to make her look all bruised, bloodshot and gorey! (If you're interested, my skin colours were E0000, 000, 00 & BV000 - 04) I couldn't resist adding some black stickles to her old grey brittle mummy hair. I used lots of Tim Holtz distress inks and tools to rough up the edges. I picked up a whole bundle of that green gauzy looking yarn stuff (for lack of a better description) from my lss The Paper Pickle! They always have such funky ribbons, I couldn't resist this stuff! This card was alot of fun to do and have to give a little shout out to my mom for all her help and creativity!

So don't forget to swing by the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop to get your hands on these 'must have's' for Halloween! They are now available for purchase, get them now before they're gone!

Your next stop is the super talented krafty guest Kerry! Have a great time hopping along today! Thanks for stopping by!

A recipe challenge for you...

Today brings another challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps! And this week is my turn! I whipped up a fun little RECIPE for you!
SCALLOPS, BUTTONS & BLING...oh my! (sorry I couldn't resist!)

This is Witchypoo! I just adore her! She was alot of fun to colour up too. I used my scalloped square nestie to mat her on & the base of my paper and the the purple cardstock is loaded with lots of glitter (there's my bling - it looks way better IRL!). I added some stickles to the skulls and of course I had to add a few buttons! Easy as that!

So be sure to play along with us this week. Just by entering, you could win your very own WichyPoo to play with! How fun! Check out the Krafty Girls samples!

Hope to see you tomorrow for the big spooktacular Hop!!!

Challenge #3!!!

*This is my 2nd post today, for my Kraftin Kimmie Peek, scroll down or click HERE*

Welcome to another fun filled challenge with Claudia & Co. Stamps! Today we have a fantastic sketch for you by Lori!!! Check it out!

Today I decided to use Back to School Landon AND Lucy for my card! These little cuties are the new August release for Claudia & Co. Stamps and can be found HERE. I stamped them side by side, like twins or two best buddies going back to school. I paper pieced their outfits to match with matching dp which I got from DCRU. I love their 6x6 paper packs!

So we'd love to see what you've got to show us, remember you have a whole month to play along for your chance to win some great C&C rubber! Check out the blog for all the details!

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Spooky sneek peek #2!

Welcome to day 2 of sneek peeks at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!
Are you in the mood for Halloween yet? This should get you at least thinking about it anyway!

Meet Tommy Treats! I love how his bag is overflowing but he's still asking for more. Oh, those were the days of trick or treating. The best part was at the end when my brother and I would see who's pillowcase was the heaviest! Yes I said pillowcase...I think one year it looked like little Tommy's there, just brimming with treats!

I hope you're liking the peeks so far! I'll be back tomorrow with another one and a new Kraftin Kimmie Challenge and then on Sunday be sure to check in for the big blog hop! Always lots of fun and lots of prizes to be won!

Thanks for stopping by!

One spooky release...

Yes, its that time again....another round of 'sneek peeks' for the new August release at
This is one spooky release! It will get you all geared up for Halloween, or really want to make you fill your face with candy and chocolate....lol!
Anyway, today I'm introducing you to Halloween Miles & Maisy!

Aren't they fantastic? They're all dressed up ready to attend their little mouse halloween party! This release also comes with a whole bunch of fun halloween sentiments including this 'bite me' one that made me lol! I thought it went well with this image 'cause it looks like Miles is extremely offended by something or someone, or maybe he's trying to protect his beautiful Maisy? Hmmm, can you tell I'm reading the Twilight series? I'm on book #3 (Eclipse) and am looovin it. Anyway....I hope you like the card!

Make sure you swing by tomorrow, I'll have another peek for ya! And be sure to check out the rest of the Krafty Girls peeks too!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Something yummy...

Today's challenge at The Pink Elephant is:
'Something Yummy'

This week we have been sponsored by one of my fav's, 'By Lori Designs' featuring some new lollipop digis!

This is Ladybug Lollipop, with a big handfull of cotton candy! I think that totally qualifies as Yummy! I printed her off and coloured with my copics. I coloured up the cotton candy and added some pink flock mixed with some fine glitter to make it look more real. Almost good enough to eat...haha!
So be sure to check out what the rest of the talented Design Team has to show you. If you have a sweet tooth, you'll like what you see!
Have a great day! Thanks for popping by!

August Release Blog Hop...

Welcome to another fabulous Claudia & Company Stamps Blog Hop! Can you believe its already August? My summer is just flying by!
Today we're introducing you to the new August release of Claudia & Co. Stamps featuring 2 brand new adorable Puddle Jumpers: Back to School Lucy & Landon by Lori Boyd! They are sooo sweet!

Here is the order of the Hop in case you want to start from the beginning. Did I mention that if you leave a comment on EVERY blog in the hop you will be eligible to win a nice little prize from Claudia & Co.? So make sure you visit all the blogs and don't forget to leave a comment as you hop along!
Here are my creations!
Meet Back to School Landon....doesn't he look all ready to go back to school?
I created a pocket card and put a Chapters gift card inside for some back to school shopping!
This is Lucy Puddle Jumper. I also put a Chapters gift card inside the pocket of this one too. What girl doesn't love to shop! Especially for back to school stuff...(well I did anyway)
This is another card featuring Lucy PJ but I thought I'd do something a little different to show how versatile the stamps can be. They don't have to be school images if you crop them. Perfect for any kind of card. I also used a Claudia & Co. sentiment on this card as well.
These stamps are available HERE, are deeply etched red rubber and are excellent quality!

Your next stop along the way is the super talented LISA! You'll love what she's got for you!

I hope you enjoy your day and the rest of whats left your summer!!!
