Showcase Monday at The Town Scrapper!
Yay, Blogger is working again! Phew! Better late than never...ces't la vie!
This was the card that I used for the copic demo I did for Phebe's (The Town Scrapper's) event that was held this past Saturday. A quick little shout out to all the ladies that attended. I had a wonderful time meeting you all and had alot of fun! My partner in crime, Melanie also did a fabulous demo and we also got to see Phebe's beautiful watercolour technique! It was a fun filled afternoon, thats for sure!!!
I coloured Fishing Evan with my copics and inked around the edge with some chalk ink. The dp is by Imaginisce and the solid paper is by Bazzill. I kept this card simple as its a manly man card and I don't like adding too much to masculine cards! Everything needed to make this card can be found at Phebe's store The Town Scrapper which is located in Petrolia Ontario!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great week!
A New Challenge at The Pink Elephant!
This weeks sponsor at TPE is The Cutting Cafe. I used this adorable chick hatching out of its egg 'peeping' out to wish everyone a happy Easter. Which is fast approaching!!!
I coloured the cute lil' chick with my copics and paper pieced the egg. I used some teeny tiny prima flowers in pastel colours and added some teeny tiny brads to the centres. I also used my Martha Stewart flower border punch and added brads in between. I scrounged my ribbon jar and found some fun colors and added some tabs to the top of the image.
I think this turned out to be a sweet little Easter card to give to someone next weekend! Don't forget to swing by The Pink Elephant Blog to see the amazing creations the Design Team has to show you this week! Don't forget to play along too! Its always so much fun ;)

A Friday Challenge!!!
This cute image is one of the new VICTORIA CASE STAMPS created EXCLUSIVELY for THE TOWN SCRAPPER! This one is just perfect for an Easter card!
I coloured most of the image with copics and paper pieced the chick's outfit and the bunny's feet, tummy and ears. I add some flower soft for the grass and scattered some round stickers as 'eggs' in hiding - awaiting to be found! I also added some frosted lace stickles to the egg, leaves and carrot! I used my new Martha Stewart flower border punch, it also punches out the little flowers (makes for perfect embellishments). I added more of the round stickers to the border and a yellow ribbon with a pink button with a bow to finish it all off!
Be sure to head over to The Town Scrapper Blog, check out what the fabulous DT have for you today and play this week for your chance to win a great little prize!
Have a great Weekend!

What a happy Monday!!!
I am bursting with excitement and am so happy to be posting today BECAUSE I've been invited by the amazingly talented group over at The Pink Elephant to be a guest designer for the month of April! AND I was lucky enough to get to play along early! I just can't beleive it!!!
I feel so lucky, I'm still doing my little happy dance and want to thank Lori for this amazing opportunity! The Pink Elephant is one of my favorite Challenge Blogs that I just can't ever get enough of, and I'm really looking forward to working with everyone! Woo hoo!
This weeks theme is SPRING, and we all got to play with the new CCDesigns Sugarplums Spring Kit. For my card I used Rainy Day Emma.
This new spring kit is available at All That Scraps and is adorable! Who doesn't love those Sugarplums?
I used some new springy designer paper from K&Company and my new Martha Stewart border punch. The sentiment is also a C.C. Design, Amy R Sentiment that I thought went well with Rainy Day Emma! I coloured her with my copics and added some crystal lacquer to her raincoat and rubber boots. I also added some little buttons to her coat for some added dimension!
So head over to The Pink Elephant Challenge blog and play along with this fun SPRING challenge! You'll see an amazing little display from the design team that will definately get your mojo flowin! What a great way to start the week! Happy Monday everyone!

3 Buttons Challenge over at The Town Scrapper!
Today over at The Town Scrapper is the start of another fun challenge. This weeks challenge is called 3 Buttons Challenge! Thats it, plain and simple, just incorporate 3 buttons (no more, no less) into your card creation. Here's my sample:I used the brand new Victoria Case stamp Evan which is now being sold exclusively at the Town Scrapper! There's more adorable stamps being released so stay tuned for some sneek peeks in the near future!
I personally love these stamps because the little Evan boy reminds me of my son. He is much older now, these pictures were taken a few years ago....sigh! Where does the time go?
I better move on before I abandon this post to run and grab my son's scrapbooks for a trip down memory lane....(you all know what I'll be doing this afternoon...lol)
I stamped Evan onto Bella's Bestest Paper (my fav) and coloured him in using my copics!
I always struggle with masculine cards, so the button theme worked out well! What a great Father's Day card this stamp makes! This card is pretty simple, all the paper, buttons etc...was from my stash drawer (that I'm always trying to whittle down).
We would love to see your 3 button creations, be sure to swing by The Town Scrapper and link up your card for your chance to win a great little prize!
Another Note:
Phebe at The Town Scrapper is hosting a super Fundraising Event on March 27th, 2010 in Petrolia Ontario. This cardmaking event will run from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. She has planned three separate demos with three of her brand new Victoria Case images! The Demos will include watercoloring by Phebe, and copic demonstrations by Melanie and myself. I can't wait to see these ladies in action, their techniques and colouring are amazing! As I'm NOT copic certified I will just be sharing how I colour with my copics, and what works best for me. I am looking forward to having lots of fun, meeting new people and making some great cards! If you are interested, please contact Phebe as she only has a few spots left! Looking forward to seeing you there!
Well thats it for today's post, have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

A lil' peek at some new lil' buds...
HUGS!!!
I coloured Owie with my copic markers and shaded around him using prisma color pencils (gotta get to one of those classes!). The DP is from Basic Grey. I added a strip of SU polkadot ribbon and the funky stitched fabric tree is from Prima's fabric shapes line.
Well thanks for stopping by, I hope you're enjoying some nice warm weather wherever you are!
I'm lovin' it here, no more snow, yay!

Exclusive New Stamps at The Town Scrapper!
Victoria Case has been illustrating for over 25 years and The Town Scrapper is so happy and excited to be able to bring her gorgeous designs to you on rubber!
The design team have been lucky enough to have a chance to play with these sweet stamps, that are just perfect for just about anything!!!
The new release includes 6 stamps! 3 girl images and 3 boy images all with matching sentiments!
For this card I used the sweet image "Sophie Feeding the Birds"! What a fun image to colour! I love her hair! I tried to make it as summery as possible so I chose a bright yellow for the card base. This paper is embossed with lots of flowers and sunbursts - its soooo pretty, perfect for this theme. Everything you see above, can be found at The Town Scrapper - I just love the new dp from Imaginisce too. Sophie is coloured with copic markers. I added some stickles to the flowers on her shorts and the ribbon on her hat. And of course I had to add lots of prima flowers to finish it off!!!
The weather is beautiful here today! Maybe I'll go feed the birds somewhere!!! Yay for spring!!!

You are Unique!
As usual I coloured the image in with my copic markers and added some stickles and popped it on the card base. The little squiggles coming out from under the button was actually created by mistake. I love using my Karen Foster Scrappers Floss for the centre of buttons, a few days ago I ended up permanently adhering a button down with the long paper strings hanging out, so instead of 'losing' it, I took the end of a very fine paintbrush and twirled it to create a little swirly! I love how good things come from mistakes!
Enjoy your day!
