Ho Ho Ho!

Just a quick post tonight, this is for the SSDS Challenge this week, which is most fittingly "Christmas"!! Thats right, a nice easy challenge, make anything that has a Christmas theme. This stamp is from The Greeting Farm set called XMAS Sweeties! I coloured her in with my Copics and blinged her up with lots and lots of Diamond Stickles!!!! Her shoes, belt buckle, scarf, and the white fluff on her skirt, cuffs and hood are all decked out with glitter!!! The dp I've had forever in my stash and the card base and pink mat is from Stampin Up. I cut the image out using my Nesties and the big striped brad is from My Mind's Eye - Abbey Road line (which I looove!). This turned out pretty simple but I also think its a fun card and I know just the 'fun' person to send it to !!!
We're settling in from the move more and more each day, it does get easier day by day!!! (totally did not mean for that to rhyme!) (ooh that might be a good sentiment for a stamp LOL)!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Pa rum pa pum pum!!!

I know I left things a little late, but I am only making a few Christmas cards to give out this year! They will probably all be different 'cause I want to try to ink up all the Christmas stamps I have before the season is over and have to wait a whole year to pull them out again!!!

I saw this stamp at Michaels and instantly fell in love with it! I just had to have it!!! I had my coupon with me so it was a very easy decision to make! This is an entry on Splitcoaststampers for one of the CAS Challenges CASDT09Winter02. As usual I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Neenah cardstock and coloured it in with my copics. I used my Conte pastel pencils to shade around the image. I kept it very simple, no embellishments on this one. The sentiment is from High Hopes and when I saw it I knew I had to have it to go along with this little drummer boy! What a perfect match! All the paper is from my Christmas stash, I believe the dp is by Karen Foster.

I hope to have more Christmas cheer to post soon! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the U.S. I know a certain someone who will be eating the most DELICIOUS pecan pie in the entire world, wish I was there to have a piece!!! (Hi Maggie & Matthew!!!)
Thanks for stoppin by! Have a great night!

Yay, I'm back!

It's almost been 2 whole weeks since I posted anything let alone do any stampin', oh the horror!!! I was going thru some serious withdrawl! We are finally settled into our new house and I have my craft room all set up and ready to go now! Is it crazy that I'm so happy to be blogging again? It was very hard surfin my favourites here and there and not being able to play along! Anyway, I'm back but I think I lost my mojo somewhere along the way (sniff, sniff, insert frown here), cause it was hard gettin' back into the groove. I thought oh oh, I forgot how to colour! The good thing is, there's always a challenge out there to play along with and I just happened to pick up this adorable little image from Scrappin' Great Deals before we moved. It's called Bernadette Bunny by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and is perfect for their current challenge - Merry Christmas, Happy Winter! I stamped her on Neenah and coloured her with my copics. I inked around the edges of the image and dp with some Versamagic chalk. I used some eyelets and the big brad from my stash. I can't remember who the dp is by. I also used some pink Flower Soft for the bunny's muff (handwarmer) to add some texture.

I hope this gets me back into the swing of things. It better, I have some Christmas cards to make, hmmm better get on that!!!!

Have a great night!
