Happy Halloween!!!

So I finally caved and made up a Halloween card, but was happy to do so 'cause it was for Phebe at The Town Scrapper, I have been sooooo busy I almost forgot to post it, eeek!!! I used Spooky Tree and Swiss Pixies Pippi from CC Designs. Their September stamps are super cute, it was so hard to choose. I coloured the images up with my copics, and added stickles to the entire tree and Pippi's wings. You can double click on the card to see a close up of the sparkly tree! I sponged with black ink around the edges and used my Conte Pastels to shade the ground and around the tree and moon. The sentiment is also by CCD, the buttons and DP I had in my stash!

I can't help be in the mood for Halloween now with the cold, wet, fall weather we've been having lately - yuck! I had to break out the winter shoes & coats bin the other day, yikes!

We're in the process of moving so my posts might be few and far between for the next little while, booooo! I know I won't be able to stay away for too long though, I will go into some serious withdrawl if I don't do just a little bit here and there!!! Happy Fall!

Thanks for stopping by,

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays, Sketch Challenge!!!

My friend Lisa asked me to be a guest designer for the September 26 Challenge over at the Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays blog. Of course I said YES!!! How fun is that? This week's challenge was a sketch challenge, as seen below. SSDS have weekly challenges and give away great prizes, check out the blog, and join in on the fun! Also, check out Lisa's blog a member of SSDS's design team, to see her awesome creation!!! I love sketch challenges, they make it very easy to complete a card and sometimes challenge you to think outside the box a little. This one did just that for me! This is what I came up with, check it out... I used the adorable image 'Shy Hilda' by Motivet (you can find Motivet stamps at The Town Scrapper), coloured her with my copics and completely cut her out! I added some stickles to her hair bows to bling her up and it matched the DP from Heidi Grace Designs. I used pink Bazzill for the card base. The sentiment is from Stampin Up and the ribbon I had in my stash. I used pop dots to mount 'Hilda' to the card for some added dimension! I like how it turned out, sweet and simple! Thanks Lisa for asking me to play along! Check out the great prize for this week and play along with SSDS week 8 sketch for your chance to win! Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Just splashin' by...

Ok, so I know summer is SO over but I made this card for our awesome neighbours who have always let us use their pool every year during the hot days of summer. We didn't see as much of their pool this summer due to the yucky weather we had (what was up with that?), but I still like to thank them for their generous hospitality! My son learned how to swim in their pool and this year my daughter whose almost 2 absolutely loved it! Actually my daughter kinda looks like 'Lily' on this card, piggy tails and all! I used 'Lily at the Beach' by Pink Cat Studio, and coloured her up with my copics. I used my Conte' pastels to shade around the image and a sponge with ink to soften the edges. The dp is by Basic Grey and I used pink Bazzill cardstock for the card base! I also added some crystal lacquer to the goggles and the flippers but you can't really tell from my picture! I hope they like it!
Thanks for looking, Bye for now!

p.s. so excited to find out the surprise Melissa has been teasing us with tomorrow at Pink Cat Studio, I hope its a new release!!!

Little monkey...

I meant to post this card weeks ago and somehow this sneaky little monkey slipped by...lol. I totally case'd this card from here. I love this adorable monkey image by Stampendous, I think his name is Changito. Scrappin' Great Deals has a great collection of this little guy! Be sure to check out their new Daily Sale Event. Everyday 10 new items will be featured at some fantastic savings! More details here!

The details for this card are very easy, I used my copics to colour and the paper is Bazzil, including the scalloped border (Bazzil cardstock border strips). I had some black and white gingham ribbon in my stash that matched perfect! I find it so hard to make masculine cards, I love to use glitter, ribbon, buttons etc...but this card is nice and simple!

Hope you all had a great weekend!!!! Thanks for stoppin by!

Heather Hambleton is the illustrator for all of the Humble Pie Sweetie Pie images. Heather is an uber talented artist! Her images are the cutest! This time I got to use Super Bat Boy! I coloured him and the pumpkin with my copics, cut them out and popped them on circles I cut with my Nestabilities. Follow your dreams...

Here is the latest card I made for Phebe at The Town Scrapper. I must say I'm not usually a cat person, but I ended up loving this card in the end. It's from CC Designs (Butterfly Kitty), the sentiment I made up and printed off on my printer. I coloured this little kitty with my copics and cut him out entirely along with the butterfly and pop dotted him on the green cardstock using my nestabilities. I found the dp in my scrap pile so I don't know who makes it. The flowers are prima and I added the little silver jewellery spacers, which I got from my tub of beads etc...I have seen these on a few cards and think it looks so charming. Hope you have a great day, thanks for looking!
