Limited Edition Scrapbook Kit Reveal! SGD!

I am very happy to be posting today cause it’s for Sheila at Scrappin’ Great Deals! I was so excited when I was asked to design for the September Kit I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it! It’s packed full of AWESOME goodies and is available for sale starting September 1st! These Limited Edition 12 x12 kits sell out FAST so don’t miss your chance! Check out the Scrappin Great Deals website, they will ship world wide!!! This kit is so versatile I was able to make a whole bunch of stuff, so keep scrolling down to see all the pictures!
Anything you see in the pictures that isn’t in the kit was from my own stash and can also be found at SGD…so, here goes…
For the first layout I created, I used the pastel plaid paper by Little Yellow Bicycle. It matched perfectly with the dress my daughter is wearing in the pics. I used my Cricut to cut out the letters & flowers sprouting from Bazzill cardstock doodle strips at the bottom of the page . I Added some of the BoBunny chipboard accents and a few buttons to finish it off!
I used the ‘Honeycomb’ paper by Basic Grey for my 2nd layout. I thought the sepia tone in the picture would work well with the rustic look to this pattern. I used my Cricut (I can’t live without it when I scrapbook!) to cut out the letters. I cut the letters out a second time with the shadow mode and then used some blue chalk to ink around the edges. If you look closely I added some light pink and yellow Robins Nest dew droplets ‘cause they remind me of the little blobs of honey that you get after squeezing it from the bottle and thought it tied in with the theme! I made a lot of cards with this kit! I used my copic markers to colour all of the images for my cards. (Sheila has THE best selection of copics by the way). For this card, I love how the Lulu Ketto image (by Stamping Bella) fit right inside the big chipboard accent, and the Bling it flower by Basic Grey went well with all the sparkles in the paper. This paper is absolutely gorgeous and has alot of sparkle to it but unfortunately my camera didn't quite pick it up very well!
One of my favourite items in the kit was the Sakura Glitter pen (what a score!). I LOVE these pens. I especially love this one. I used it to outline the stamped Anya Mermaid image to add some shimmer! I co-ordinated the Cloud 9 Orange Grove designer paper with the blue Bazzill cardstock and used the orange metallic shimmer cardstock for the base of the card. I added some waves at the bottom using my Fiskars Boundary Waters border punch.
For the next card I used the green argyle patterned paper by Lemonade, with the orange metallic card stock. I used the chipmunk image (The Greeting Farm) and the Mini Shimmer alphas with the chocolate brads to give the card the feeling of fall (which doesn't feel too far away with all this chilly weather we've been having...aaack!).
I used the same patterned paper but got a completely different look for my next card. The awesome Prima Caboodles flowers are perfect for this layout! I used the cream coloured Bazzill cardstock for the base.
I still had a little bit of paper left over and thought it matched the blue & pinks (& orange carrot) in this turtle/ bunny image I had (The Greeting Farm). I also used the glitter pen to outline the flower on turtles head!
I have never used a transparent overlay before but found one of my favourite pictures my son took of me and my hubby a few years back and thought it went great. This one by Bo-Bunny called Happy Together is adorable! I kept it really simple and used the cream coloured Bazzill cardstock for the base and added the treasured moments twill ribbon with the Bazzill cardstock doodle strips (it's much nicer in person..I swear lol). As you can see, the possibilities are endless and I still had a ton of stuff left over! You have to check out these other fantastic blogs Deena , Leah and Sarah to see how they created with this kit! Don't forget, they go on sale September 1st and they don't last long!!! Thanks Sheila for letting me play, I had SO much fun!

Thank you Fairy Much!!! Bellarific Friday Sketch!

I mentioned a few posts ago that we were in Toronto for mini vacation and while we were there we checked out Stamping Bella. "BellaLand" was so much fun - the first time I went (yes I was there more than once within 2 days) I just stood there and stared in awe at the walls of stamps....needless to say I left with a bag full of rubber and some other goodies too. I noticed when I got back to the hotel that there was mixup with my purchase, so I went back the next day (with the kids this time), and met Emily and Ryan! What an awesome pair!!! It was nice to see the faces behind the 'blog' (as I am a regular bellablogstalker). Emily was so sweet and gave my son the stamp seen in the card above called 'Super Tyler'. He was SO thrilled he made her a thank you card as soon as we got home and I just had to post it, I couldn't resist! I also dove into the bag of goodies I got and made this card for the BELLARIFIC FRIDAY Sketch. I love the heart grass background stamp, I couldn't wait to use it! I used Lulu Ketto cause I thought she went so well with the heart on her dress. As always I used copics to colour and added lots of glitter with my sakura glitter pen and some stickles!!!! Thank goodness Scrappin Great Deals carries Stamping Bella so I can get my fix without having to drive to T.O. and I don't typically order online!!!! I LOVE the Ketto line. I received a Ketto ceramic plate and matching tile about 5 years ago as a Christmas gift from my mom and I just about passed out when I saw that they are available in rubber stamps from Stamping Bella!!!

Anyway, off to hit the hay! Have a great weekend! Check back on Monday - there will be an exciting post you won't want to miss!

Humble Pie's 2nd Blog Hop, (sneek peek) - meet 'Dusty'!

Welcome to our second Humble Pie Stamps blog hop!! It's SO exciting to introduce the new “SWEETIE PIE” line, and the Humble Pie Design Team to you!! Sneek peeks will continue with blog hops every Monday until the release! So keep checking back!
This blog candy is now closed. Thanks to all who played!
KRISTA (thats me!)
So this time I got to create with 'Dusty'! Isn't she so cute cuddling her little teddy bear? Heather Hambleton is the illustrator for all of the Sweetie Pie line images. She is brand new to the stamp designing world, but is sure to be famous very soon! We we are so happy to have her as part of our team! This stamp, as well as 4 others will be available for purchase only at the Town Scrapper! Phebe is taking pre-orders now, so if you want to be sure to get your stamp, give her a call, (519*882*0623) or send her an email...(info@townscrapper.com).
Here's the low down: I coloured Dusty with my copics on Wasau paper. I used browns and pinks cause it's one of my favorite colour combos and the patterened paper I got from the Town Scrapper is a perfect match! (Chocolate Decadence by Doodlebug Designs). I used my nestablilities to cut her out and mat her on some pink cardstock by Stampin Up. I also used some Stampin Up corduroy buttons/brads to embellish (I coloured them with my copic marker to perfectly match the brown colour in the card)! As always I like to keep it simple! Thanks for stoppin by today. Be sure to 'hop' over to - Melanie's Blog - its your next stop. Have a great Day and Happy Hoppin!

My little artist!!!

I just wanted to quickly post this adorable card my son made yesterday! He wanted me to post it on my blog so I said 'absolutely'!!! He stamped this adorable Stampendous image and wanted to use the flowersoft on the bodies of the little monkeys. He picked out the patterned paper, coloured and cut everything out & assembled it all! It turned out pretty darn cute! We are sending this to our good friend Brenda, I think she'll like it!

I am so thrilled to be on this Design team, I feel lucky to work along side with such amazingly talented ladies! On to the goods...I was lucky to get to play with Umbrella Ellie!!! I LOVE her! I love fairies and elves and she's just perfect!!! I of course used my copic markers to colour her and used Wasau paper! I cut her out and popped her with 3d dots on the patterned paper I got from Phebe's, I can't remember the name off the top of my head. I added the sentiment to a big clear button and added some little buttons as well. I hope you like!!!

Thank you for joining me on the hop today. Be sure to make your way to the next blog (which is amazing) -Melanie-its your next stop. Have a great Day and Happy Hoppin!

Birthday Wishes!

Here is another card I have made for Phebe at The Town Scrapper. These Motivet stamps are so sweet, and fun to colour. The Town Scrapper has a whole bunch of these stamps to choose from, but the choosing is the hard part, cause they're all so darn cute! I coloured Doraline with my copic markers focusing on the colours (BG02, RV02 & YGo3) from the Copic Colour Challenge, and of course added some Stickles - yep still obsessed...lol. I can't resist the glitter these days! I used lime green Stickles to bring out the cuffs on her shirt and crystal for the rest. I used my Creative Memories circle cutters for the image and frame. The adorable patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs called Cuppy Cake which I also got from The Town Scrapper. I added some ribbon with sugar coated brads to the sides of the circle for an added touch! Thanks for looking, till next time,

Stamping Bella Thank you card!

Its finally the perfect summer weather here in Ontario! I think it has inspired me to create sparkly cards with bright summery colours!!! Anyway, this is a thank you card made with the adorable Lulu Ketto image by Stamping Bella. I have had her coloured for the longest time and finally found the perfect paper to use with her!!! I used my nestabilities to frame the image, and inked the edges with chalk to soften the look. I used one of my favourite sentiments that goes perfectly with any Ketto or 'fairy' image, also by Stamping Bella. I used DCWD glitter mat stack paper and added some Doodlebug sugar coated brads to add more bling!! Thanks for looking, have a great week!
