HUMBLE PIE!!!!!

I am very priviledged to be a guest designer for The Town Scrapper in Petrolia for the month of August. This is very exciting for me as I love to create all the time and love sharing my passion with others who have the same love for stamping! So, thanks Phebe! This adorable image is a Humble Pie stamp from The Town Scrapper, way to go Phebe! Check out more card samples from her amazing Design Team on the Humble Pie Blog. I coloured this image using my copic markers. I chalked the edges to soften the look. The patterned paper is We R Memory Keepers called (Tiffany's). I of course added some stickles, because I'm obsessed right now with glitter! I used crystal for the wings, lime green for the leaf and stem, fruit punch for the flower and also added some Smootch's lime green sparkle to accent to the leaf. I used some big eyelet snaps, and added some ribbon I had and popped it all on a card! This was so fun to create as there are so many possibilities!!! So, stop by The Town Scrapper to pick up all these items and get creating!!! There is a sale on right now until August 5th!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Happy Birthday Pixie!

I finally got around to making a card from this adorable image by CC Designs (Heidi - Swiss Pixies). I stamped her a few times (cause you just never know) - good thing I did! My first try I didn't like the colours I used, but I liked the way I did her hair. So I coloured the other image (using my copics) with different colours and paperpieced her wings, dress and boots to the original one! I didn't glue her wings all the way down and ended up curling them a bit to make it look like her wings were 3D. I used the adorable 'Berry Blue' patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs. Added some buttons embellished with Scrappers Floss and added the happy birthday sentiment (also CC Designs). Oh, I also added some stickles 'cause no Pixie would be complete with out some sparkle!!! Thanks for looking!
Till next time,

The Sugar Bowl Challenge #15 - Gayle's Sketch!

This is my very first Sugar Bowl challenge! Challenge #15 - Gayle's Sketch. The winner will receive the adorable new ‘ Manga’ kids stamps. They are SOOOO cute I couldn't resist! It was so much fun to play around with all the ribbon not to mention my new Sugar Nellie stamp I got from FunkyKits, I just love this image by Leanne Ellis. I enjoy the different challenges out there, the sketches make it so easy to whip together a card. Some days I can sit there forever trying to figure out what to put where, the challenges give me inspiration and make it easy to put a card together!!! Can't wait till the next one!

Motivet Sketch Challenge!

Here is my entry for July's Motivet Sketch Challenge. This challenge was fun, I love the layout. I even broke out the old sewing maching and tried some stitching. It was harder than I thought. I'm not used to sewing on paper (fabric is more forgiving - ya can't see that my 'straight' lines aren't straight...). Anyway, these Dexter and Doraline stamps are so adorable (Phebe at The Town Scrapper carries these), I love colouring them with my copics! The sentiment is also Motivet. The solid coloured paper is Stampin Up and the patterned paper is by Cosmo Cricket. Looking forward to the next challenge!!!

Surfer Ian!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! How cute is this Greeting Farm stamp??? Surfer Ian!!! Just snagged it from another 'road trip' to The Town Scrapper. I made a birthday card and had so much fun colouring him! The sentiment is CC Designs. There were so many possibilities for the background paper, but I finally chose CosmoCricket - snorkel. I added some ribbon & buttons to the wave at the bottom. I didn't want to give it away after I finished it...lol!
Enjoy your day!

Gorjuss Girl!!!!

Yippie, I finally got my Sugar Nellie stamps!!! I got them from Funkykits and they litterally came in the mail in 4 days (all the way from Scotland!!!). I love this Gorjuss Girl stamp called 'bear hug'. I coloured her with my copics and paper pieced her dress. I added some crystal lacquer to her hot pink boots (although the picture doesn't show it very well). I clear embossed the 'giggle' sentiment & I also tried to flock her teddy bear. It was my first time 'flocking' and need some practice, anyone have any tips??? I was so excited to get this on a card that it turned out rather plain. Will keep trying...lol! Hope you had a great weekend!

Just Plain Happy!!!

I think this is one of my very favourite stamps I own!!! It is from Stampavie and designed by Rachelle Anne Miller. I love all of her designs, check out her website, her illustrations are amazing!!! I loved colouring these little turtles with my copic markers, the possibilities are endless!!! I chose bright and cheery colours to pick me up from all the rain we've been having lately - jeesh enough is enough!!! Off to check out more of The Greeting Farm Blog Hop...
Hope you have a 'just plain happy' Canada Day!!!
